A.1.1 - Online Discussions - Online discussions are distributed throughout the semester. Read the assignment sheet to learn the goals and purpose of the discussions.

 

Required: Set up a Twitter.com account (if you do not already have one). IMPORTANT: All Blackboard hosted discussions require a tweet. If you do not have a Twitter account, you will need to create one before Sunday, August 30th so you can post your first tweet. Post your Twitter handle on the BB wiki: Student Communications Page. Thank you.

 

Set up an EDUCATION Wikispaces wiki. Link to step-by-step directions and follow them. BEGIN by setting up a "classroom wiki." Then please change the style to "classic wiki functionality." Complete your profile (including a photo, image, or avatar). Use your creativity in selecting a name. Be cautious about using your TWU portal account. Post your account information on the Blackboard Wiki (BBW): Student Communications Page.

 

Fill out and return the Student Information Sheet (available in BB Module 1.1) and return it by Friday, January 22nd as an attachment to the professor via Blackboard Communication/Send Email. (BB Email) Note: If you email this in another way, it will be returned to you.

 

Online Discussion: O.D.0.0: Technology Q&A… is ongoing throughout the semester. Post technology related questions for the benefit of the class; questions of individual interest only should be posed directly to Dr. M. via BB Email.

 

Online Discussion: O.D.0.5: “Open Forum.” This is an ongoing open forum where you may post questions and comments (not related to the threaded discussion forums) throughout the semester.

Online Discussion: O.D.1.1: Choose the most interesting thing about you related to teaching digital natives (gleaned from the Student Information Sheet above) and post it to the discussion board. Entice our classmates with an exciting subject. Engage our classmates in discussion.
